Μετά από πολλά χρόνια παραμονής στην Αφρική, μια οικογένεια επιστρέφει στην Ελλάδα και προσπαθεί να κάνει μια νέα αρχή και να σταθεί και πάλι στα πόδια της. Η γιαγιά ετοιμάζει το βραδινό τραπέζι και η μαγειρική της, είναι η ευκαιρία για να μαζευτεί όλη η οικογένεια. Στο ορεκτικό, εμφανίζονται όλα τα προβλήματα που τους απασχολούν. Στο πρώτο πιάτο αποκαλύπτονται μυστικά και ξεδιπλώνονται απίστευτες ιστορίες. Όταν, όμως, έρχεται το γλυκό, το εκμέκ παγωτό, τίποτα δε μοιάζει πια τόσο σοβαρό.
