To avenge his father, HO induces YUEN to leave the mansion, removes the corpses of the clan leaders whom he murders and imputes crime to YUEN. Knowing that he has fallen into a trap, YUEN returns to the mansion explaining the truth. Ashamed, HO kills himself. Resenting WU's passion towards KO, ABBESS FU MUI severely punishes her. Seeing that her teacher’s health declines out of anger, KO does not want to annoy her. Loving CHING, WAI of the LUK FOOK SECURITY arouses ill feeling between CHOR and CHING but CHING is affected. The imperial seal is indeed stolen by the FOURTH LORD who plots to assassinate the EMPEROR and then sends down an edict claiming himself the emperor. Though his plot is ruined by HANG, the FOURTH LORD refuses to give up. People are shocked by DR. CHEUNG's saying that the clan leaders die by committing suicide.
